With Ion, Pyranha brings an affordable crossover kayak to the market. The Ion is slightly shorter and slimmer than the Pyranha Fusion II, but remains suitable for lakes, rivers and light wild water (WW III).

The narrow width gives the Ion excellent handling on calm waters and ensures fast crossing of any lake. The folding skeg further improves directional stability.

For use on wild water, the skeg can be folded using the rope on the boot lid. Due to the usual strong edge and narrow width, the Ion can be sportingly steered even on wild water. The short length gives the boat excellent handling. Like all wild water boats, the Ion is made of durable MZ3 plastic. This means that contacts with rocks are no problem.

The necessary material for multi-day rides can be stored in a large compartment at the stern of the boat. The compartment is closed with a hard rubber hatch cover. The Stout seating system is also available in a slimmed-down version without the possibility of adjusting the back strap from the boat. Thigh rests are included in the cover and are also padded. This means the Ion weighs just 20kg and its short length also makes it easier to store.
