Astral BirdDog: Premium Life Jacket for Dogs with Maximum Buoyancy
Astral BirdDog: Safety and Support for Every Dog
The Astral BirdDog life jacket is specifically designed with canine anatomy and the needs of active dogs in aquatic environments in mind. It is the ideal choice for experienced swimmers, puppies, and dogs that are just learning to swim, as well as for those who need extra support and confidence when in currents or deep water. It provides reliable support, keeps the head above water, and allows the dog to move naturally without restriction.
Durable materials: Cordura® 500D and polyethylene foam
The vest is made from the highest-quality materials available on the market, which guarantee exceptional durability:
- 500-denier Cordura® outer fabric: A legendary, high-strength fabric that is resistant to abrasion, tearing, and mechanical wear (it can handle rough riverbanks and rocks).
- PE foam inner liner: It provides optimal, evenly distributed buoyancy that safely keeps the dog afloat.
- Sturdy inner lining: 200-denier nylon with high water resistance ensures maximum comfort for your dog, even when worn all day.
Functional design: Sturdy handle and quick-release fastener
Well-thought-out details make life easier for owners and increase the pet's safety:
- Front buckle closure: It allows you to put on or take off the vest very quickly, easily, and intuitively.
- Sturdy acetal buckles and nylon straps: They ensure that the vest stays firmly and securely in place, even in whitewater.
- Sturdy grab bar: Strategically placed on the back of the vest. It allows you to easily and safely pull your dog out of the water and back into the boat or onto a steep bank in an emergency.
What is this vest ideal for?
The Astral BirdDog is a versatile vest ready for any water adventure:
- River Rafting and Whitewater Rafting: Stability and high lift even in faster currents.
- Lakes, reservoirs, and coastlines: The perfect companion for summer fun and swimming.
- Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and Canoeing: A safety device for dogs moving around on board a vessel.

Expert advice: Before taking your dog into deep water or a current, try the vest on him for the first time in a calm, shallow environment. Fasten the front buckle and tighten the straps so that the vest fits snugly around the torso but doesn’t constrict it—the dog must have full freedom to breathe and move its limbs. Also practice gripping the sturdy handle on the back of the vest so that, in an emergency, you’ll know how to pull your dog out of the water comfortably and safely.
