⚠️ CAUTION: Damage can be subtle (scratches, small dents, cracks).

Step 1: Inspection Before Acceptance and Signing

What to check on the shipment packaging:

  • Scratches and gouges: Look for any scratches or gouges on the packaging.
  • Holes and tears: Check for any punctures in the plastic wrap or cardboard.
  • Deformations: Note any dents on the bow, stern, or sides.
  • Visible damage to the kayak: Check if any damage to the kayak is visible through the packaging.

Important: Even with the slightest damage to the packaging, you must note "ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATIONS" on the delivery protocol!!!

This step is absolutely crucial for any potential claims. Also, photograph the damage in the carrier's presence.

You have the full right to a thorough inspection, even if the carrier is in a hurry.

Step 2: Decision Based on the Shipment's Condition

Scenario A: No Apparent Damage

Sign for a standard acceptance. Be careful during handling.

After the carrier leaves:

  • Carefully unpack the kayak and thoroughly inspect its entire surface.
  • If you find any hidden damage, take photographic documentation.
  • Keep all packaging for the claim process.
  • Contact us within 2-3 days of delivery.

Scenario B: Shows Damage

  • Inform the carrier about the damage.
  • Fill out a "Damage Report" with a precise description.
  • Write on the protocol: "ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATIONS".
  • Take photographs of the damage.
  • Contact us as soon as possible.
