Gumotex Aurion - key features
Aurion represents an evolution in the Gumotex range. Compared to its predecessor, the Framura, it is more stable and 15-20% faster, making it ideal for demanding riders looking for both performance and confidence in a variety of conditions. Its main advantage is the unique combination of dropstitch technology and classic cylindrical chamber in one air chamber. The upper cylinder provides load capacity and strength, while the lower dropstitch belt reduces water contact and drag, adding speed.
Hull, stability and handling
The progressive V-shape dropstitch bottom tapers at the front for better hydrodynamics and directional guidance, while the rear transitions to a flatter section that adds stability without sacrificing speed. Dropstitch segments at the bottom of the side chambers minimize the contact area with the water, reducing drag. The result is a fast but stable kayak suitable for long distance and dynamic paddling. A full-length keelstrip protects the hull when landing and pulling over the bank.
Comfort and safety
Aurion's outfitting is designed for long hours of comfortable riding and maximum control over the boat. An enclosed deck with waterproof zippers protects cargo and simplifies packing. The seat is inflatable with a state-of-the-art PUSH-PUSH valve, which means quick and safe inflation and deflation. The two-point footrest provides firm support and better power transfer to the bite.
