CR foil - armoured bottom protection

CR film (often referred to as CR liner) on Gumotex boats is a special protective layer on the bottom of the boat that literally acts as a"armour". The abbreviation CR stands for Chloroprene Rubber - a material known for its high toughness and durability.

Gumotex boats are made of high quality Nitrilon® material as standard. Versions marked with the attribute"+ CR foil" but they have the bottom (or its most exposed parts) additionally taped underneath with this thick protective layer.

What are the main advantages?

• Extreme abrasion and puncture resistance: On rivers, the boat is constantly scraping against rocks, logs and gravel in the shallows. CR foil protects the air cylinder itself and the main material from penetration.
• Longer life of the boat: Thanks to this bonding, the boat can withstand many times the load and rough handling for many years.
• Carefree carrying: If you often drag your boat along the shore (e.g. when going around impassable weirs) or land on rough surfaces, you don't have to worry about it so much.

This inflatable canoe stands out for its maximum stability and feeling of safety, thanks to which many users compare it to a "small raft". The CR foil version is designed for the most demanding users who do not want to compromise on durability.

Ideal boat for whom and where does the Baraka with CR foil fit?

The CR foil models were originally developed by Gumotex specifically for boat hire companies, tour operators and clubs where boats are getting a huge workout. For the Baraka model (a canoe handling wild water up to WW4), CR foil makes a lot of sense if:

• You plan to ride wild water full of rocks: Where conventional boats suffer, the Baraka with CR taping slips only slightly.
• You often go on rivers with low water levels: Where it simply "scrapes" against the bottom and gravel.
• You want a boat "for life": You don't want to stress yourself with every scrape on the bottom and are looking for maximum protection of your investment.
• Expedition in unknown terrain: Where you don't know what kind of surface you're going to encounter when landing or going around the weirs.

Key design and safety features

The construction of the Baraka canoe is designed to make navigation as easy as possible and to forgive any mistakes in steering:

1. Bulky side rollers: The sides of the boat have a diameter of 33 cm. Together with the wide inflatable bottom, this means that the boat has a huge buoyancy and is very difficult to tip over.
2. Hull shape (Rocker): The bottom of the ship is horizontal only in its middle part, while the bow and stern are significantly raised upwards. As a result, the boat does not get stuck in the waves, but smoothly crosses them.
3. Self-leveling bottom: An essential safety feature for navigation in rapids. The water that flows into the boat drains smoothly out through the roll-up cap at the stern.

Carrying capacity and interior space for the whole crew

Baraka is certified for2 adults and 1 child with a total load capacity ofup to 350 kg. The canoe is equipped with two durable wooden seats with foam padding (Comfort Pad). In the middle of the boat there is an inflatable brace bag, which increases the overall rigidity of the boat and serves as a safe and comfortable third seat for the child.

Durable NITRILON® material

The main advantage of the Baraka model is the material usedNITRILON®. It is a special multi-layer composite: the base is a strong polyester fabric with an outer layer of synthetic rubber and an inner layer of natural rubber. In the CR version, this base is reinforced with a second layer of chloroprene on the exposed bottom.

Easy assembly and transport

The Baraka canoe is designed for maximum practicality. You roll the deflated boat into the supplied 135 litre waterproof transport bag. The packed boat weighs approximately 24.5 kg (slightly more than the standard version due to the thicker bottom). Assembly on shore is very quick - using the powerful Bravo 4L pump, you can inflate the boat to operating pressure (0.2 bar) in minutes.Note: Due to the thicker material on the bottom, the version with CR film may fold a bit stiffer, but this is balanced by its indestructibility.

Extended 5-year warranty and service

The manufacturer provides for all newly purchased boatsfree extended 5-year warranty to the ship itself. The warranty covers all manufacturing and material defects (seams, valves). In addition, as part of this set you getfree repair (service) within the EU and the Czech Republicgiving you peace of mind on your travels.
