GUMOTEX Cover: Original Protection for Inflatable Kayaks

GUMOTEX Rain Apron: Stay Dry and Warm

The original Gumotex spray skirt is the ideal solution for owners of select inflatable kayaks who want to extend their paddling season or embark on longer touring trips. It covers the cockpit rim, effectively preventing water from entering the kayak when riding through waves or in the rain. This keeps your legs and the inside of the kayak dry and warm.

Water-resistant nylon, suspenders, and a drawstring system

The apron is lightweight, compact, and highly adaptable:

Water-resistant nylon: Both the deck and the funnel are made of high-quality, durable nylon fabric with a water-repellent finish. It is lightweight; unlike neoprene, you won’t get sweaty in it during the summer, and it dries quickly.
Suspenders with adjustable straps: To keep the apron from slipping down and to ensure it provides good protection for your hips, it features built-in suspenders that you can easily adjust to your height.
Waist drawstring: You can smoothly adjust the waistband and secure it as needed, preventing water from running down under the apron.
Front Tightening: The front part of the spray skirt on the kayak's collar can be easily tightened to ensure that it stays securely attached to the cockpit structure even when exposed to strong waves.

For which kayak models is the spray skirt designed?

This cover is compatible in terms of dimensions and attachment system with the following Gumotex inflatable kayaks (the use of the original cockpit stiffeners for the specific model is required):

GUMOTEX Swing (single-seat and two-seat versions)
GUMOTEX Seawave
GUMOTEX Framura
GUMOTEX Rush

Expert Advice and Product Care: To ensure that the spray skirt fits properly on your kayak and does not form pockets that trap water (“lavory”), make sure that your kayak has (e.g., Swing or Seawave) has the original metal cockpit collar reinforcements properly installed and tensioned. After paddling, always let the spray skirt dry thoroughly by laying it flat or hanging it up. Since the material is nylon with a water-repellent coating, avoid machine washing—remove any dirt only with a stream of clean water or a soft sponge.
