Gumotex Seashine (470 × 83 cm, 19 kg, 250 kg capacity) is the latest model of the expedition inflatable kayak designed for long-distance paddling. Compared to the successful Seawave model, it offers even better glide, higher speed and greater stability thanks to a longer hull and an innovative bottom design. The main advantage is the variable configuration for one, two or three riders - each with plenty of room for luggage. Seashine thus suits both solo expeditions and family expeditions for several days.

You'll appreciate the increased comfort, the option of cockpit aprons and the carefully thought-out equipment including a waterproof zipper on the rear deck, a flexible net for luggage, safety features and a 135-litre transport bag. The three-layer NITRILON® construction is durable, lightweight and easy to repair, making it the ideal boat for serious paddling in challenging conditions.

Hull, stability and handling

The hull of the Seashine is the result of precise development - a less curved main line combined with a pronounced rocker ensures smooth gliding and easy wave crossing without plunging the bow. The V-shaped bow (over 250 cm) provides excellent directional control, while the flat rear section gives the boat stability, especially under heavier loads. This combination allows easy manoeuvring even in wind or waves. The directional fin (skeg) and its mounting bracket greatly help to keep a straight course in challenging conditions such as crosswinds.

Materials used

NITRILON® is a durable three-layer material developed in-house at Gumotex. It consists of an outer layer of synthetic rubber, a reinforcing polyester fabric and an inner layer of PVC. It is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, UV, salt and chemicals. Thanks to the possibility of higher operating pressure (0.5 bar in the bottom), the boat achieves excellent rigidity even without rigid reinforcements. The material is environmentally friendly - phthalate-free - and easy to repair even in field conditions. In combination with push-push valves, pressure handling is fast and safe.
