Gumotex Pálava defined the category of modern inflatable canoes. Unlike the more robust Baraka models, the Pálava relies on a narrower profile and longer waterline, making it one of the fastest boats in its class. It is designed to provide sufficient stability for beginners, but at the same time not to disappoint experienced paddlers who want to enjoy a technical ride in the rapids.

Ideal boat for different types of water areas

The Palava is designed as a versatile vessel that feels best on flowing waters:

• Tourist descents and gently flowing rivers: Thanks to its shape, the boat holds its course well and does not require as much effort to paddle as wider models. It is ideal for weekend wanderings in nature.
• Lighter Wild Water (WW2): Pálava handles waves and rapids of medium difficulty with ease. The raised bow (rocker) ensures that the boat does not get stuck in the waves, but can be easily carried over them.
• Lakes and quiet reservoirs: The lake on a calm surface does not "push the water" in front of you, but glides smoothly, which you will appreciate during longer lake crossings.

Key design and safety features

The design of the ship is based on decades of development and testing in real conditions:

1. Narrower sports hull: The 90 cm width is the ideal compromise between stability and speed.
2. Symmetrical shape: The boat has the same bow and stern shape, which contributes to balanced handling characteristics.
3. Security chambers: The ship is divided into three main independent air chambers (bottom and two side cylinders).
4. Open concept: On calm water, it has less drag and the crew sits dry.

Capacity, space and crew comfort

Pálava is certified for2 adults with a total load capacity of240 kg. The seats are made of durable plywood with foam padding. Thanks to the bolt system, they can be easily slid in or out, allowing even kneeling riding with thigh straps for better control in rough water.

The revolutionary NITRILON® material

All Gumotex boats are made from a unique materialNITRILON®. It is not ordinary PVC, but a highly durable polyester fabric with a double-sided synthetic rubber coating.

• Unrivalled durability: The material is extremely resistant to abrasion, tearing and UV radiation.
• Shape stability: Even at high temperatures, the ship maintains its operating pressure.
• Easy fix: The material can be sealed very easily with a repair kit even in field conditions.

Transport and lightning-fast assembly

Low weight17,5 kg means the boat can be carried by one person. Getting ready to sail takes 5 to 10 minutes - using a powerful pump (e.g. Bravo 4L) to inflate the chambers to an operating pressure of 0.2 bar via the reliable push-push valves.

Extended 5-year warranty and service

As of 30 May 2025, the manufacturer provides all boats withfree extended 5-year warranty on the boat itself (after registration). In addition, within this set you getfree repair (service) within the EU and the Czech Republicgiving you peace of mind on your travels.
