Its unique design allows it to smoothly negotiate waves without losing kinetic energy, which is especially appreciated on longer lake or sea crossings.

Ideal boat for different types of water areas

GUMOTEX SEAWAVE is a true all-rounder that adapts to the nature of your expedition:

• The seashore and the surf: Thanks to the high buoyancy of the bow and the possibility of closing the cockpit, the boat is destined for coastal cruising.
• Great lakes and dams: Here you will appreciate the directional stability. With the optional rudder, the boat can easily stay on course even in crosswinds.
• Calm rivers and touristic descents: In the open version without deck, SEAWAVE offers a huge space for a family (2 adults + 1 child) or an extreme amount of luggage for solo expeditions.
• Modular system: The boat can be converted from a one-seater to a two- or three-seater kayak in a few minutes by simply moving the seats.

Unique hull lines and hydrodynamics

The Seawave is one of the few inflatable kayaks with a pronounced longitudinal bend in the main hull line. This shape is achieved by precise hand assembly during manufacture:

1. High Rocker (40 cm): The bow bend is 5 to 10 cm higher than in conventional kayaks. Combined with the volume of the bow, this means that the Seawave does not cut through waves (it does not sink into them), but smoothly traverses them.
2. V-shaped bottom: The middle cylinder of the bottom protrudes significantly and forms a keel. This provides not only speed but also the ability to heel the boat against the wave, effectively preventing capsizing in surf.
3. Reinforcement of the deck: Metal deck reinforcements (when using a cockpit) spread the side cylinders apart, increasing the stiffness of the whole boat and improving its hydrodynamic properties.

Safety and behaviour in case of damage to the chambers

SEAWAVE's safety has been tested in extreme scenarios to ensure your safe return to civilisation:

• Damage to the side cylinders: The inflatable bottom itself has a buoyancy of about 175 kg. Even when both side cylinders are fully deflated, the bottom can keep two adults afloat.
• Bottom damage: If the bottom is damaged, the boat will sink only 10-15 cm. Thanks to the metal reinforcements that hold the shape of the boat, it is possible to continue paddling to the shore even with an empty bottom (sitting on the inflatable seat backrest placed over the seat cushion).
• Discharge at sea: The shape of the side rollers allows the swimmer to flip the boat back upside down so that most of the water drains spontaneously through the holes in the deck.

Extremely durable NITRILON® material

The basis for long service life is the materialNITRILON®. It is not ordinary PVC, but a high-strength PES fabric with a synthetic and natural rubber coating.

• Abrasion resistance: The material is designed to withstand contact with rocks, sand and rough coastline.
• UV stability: Rubber, unlike plastic, will not become brittle. The boat retains its elasticity and colour even after years in direct sunlight.
• Ecology and service: Rubber-based materials are more environmentally friendly and very easy to repair with a standard glue kit, even in field conditions.

Easy assembly and transport

Despite its length of 455 cm, the SEAWAVE is surprisingly packable. The entire kayak weighs only17,5 kg and can be packed into a waterproof 100 litre transport bag. Assembly on shore is a matter of 10 minutes - using a powerful pump (we recommend the Bravo 4L) to inflate the chambers to an operating pressure of 0.25 bar. In addition, from 2021, the cockpit hems have been improved to be stronger and compatible with most standard cover aprons (splashguards).

Extended 5-year warranty and service

The manufacturer provides to all boatsfree extended 5-year warranty to the boat itself (after online registration). The warranty covers all manufacturing defects, seam and valve defects. In addition, as part of our set you getfree repair (service) within the EU and the Czech Republicgiving you peace of mind on your international expeditions.
