Gumotex Swing 1 - key features
Swing 1 is a single-seat inflatable kayak that has become a popular choice for recreational paddlers on smaller rivers. The new 2025 generation takes the model even further: the deck zippers are now waterproof, the hard plastic handles greatly increase handling durability, and a new, thicker keel bead improves tracking. Thanks to its 87 cm width, the Swing 1 retains a high level of stability, which will be appreciated especially by beginners but also by experienced riders during technical manoeuvres on the water.
Hull, stability and handling
With a length of 316 cm and a low weight of 11.3 kg, the Swing 1 is a compact and easily portable kayak. It is especially suitable for smaller rivers, lakes and mild white water up to WW II difficulty. The wider hull provides high primary stability, while the reinforced centre keel element improves directional control on calmer water. The basic fin further enhances tracking and facilitates longer straight-line rides. The shorter length makes the boat perfectly manoeuvrable even in narrow troughs.
Comfort and safety
The new version of the Swing 1 introduces several changes that increase both comfort and safety. The enclosed deck protects riders and equipment from splashing water, while the new footrest attachment with side straps offers a firmer and more natural support. The seat is comfortable and easy to adjust. The Nitrilon® material features high tear resistance, quick drying and easy repairability, making it ideal for heavy use.
