Gumotex Swing 1 - key features

Gumotex Swing 1 (316 × 87 cm, 11.3 kg, capacity 120 kg) is a compact inflatable kayak with a zippered closed cockpit, designed for one rider. Suitable for calm waters and moderate rapids up to WW2 difficulty, it offers the ideal combination of light weight, easy handling and high comfort. Thanks to its construction in durable NITRILON® material, the kayak is lightweight yet resistant to abrasion, UV rays and long-term use.

The kayak is equipped with reinforcements for higher rigidity, which significantly improves its stability and handling characteristics. Thanks to the closed cockpit with zippers on the front and back, it provides greater protection from splashing water and easy access to equipment. The PE foam seat and adjustable footrest provide a comfortable position even on longer cruises.

All Gumotex boats are covered by5 years warranty after registration.

Hull, stability and handling

The Swing 1 hull is designed for easy handling in a variety of conditions. With a width of 87 cm it offers excellent stability, while the length of 316 cm ensures good glide and manoeuvrability. A bracing system in the bottom and sides significantly increases the torsional rigidity of the structure. A directional fin on the bottom of the hull helps maintain a straight course, even in light winds or currents.

Materials used

NITRILON® is a three-layer material with excellent mechanical resistance, long life and an environmentally friendly phthalate-free composition. The outer layer of synthetic rubber resists abrasion, UV and salt water. A polyester reinforcement layer provides strength and dimensional stability, while an inner layer of softened PVC ensures flexibility and high pressure up to 0.2 bar. The material is easy to repair, very durable yet lightweight - ideal for carrying.
