Gumotex Swing 2 (402 × 87 cm, 14.3 kg, capacity 220 kg) is a closed two-seater kayak designed for recreational paddling and touring. Thanks to its light weight and stable hull, it is also suitable for less experienced paddlers looking for a comfortable, safe and easy to handle boat for trips on calm rivers, lakes or sea bays. Reinforcements in the structure provide sufficient rigidity and directional stability, which contributes to a pleasant feeling of riding even in a pair. Of course, easy handling and quick packing into the transport bag is a matter of course.

The kayak offers two comfortable PE foam seats with backrests, adjustable footrest and a wealth of equipment for safe and comfortable paddling. All Gumotex boats are covered by5 years warranty after registration.

Hull, stability and handling

The Swing 2 hull is designed with stability and easy handling in mind. The 87 cm width gives the boat the balance it needs, while the length of over 4 metres provides sufficient glide even under heavier loads. Reinforcements in the longitudinal axis of the hull provide the necessary torsional rigidity. The kayak is equipped with a handle for the directional fin, which helps to maintain a straight course. A closed cockpit with zippers at the bow and stern reduces air resistance and provides protection against splashing water.

Materials used

NITRILON® is a three-layer laminated material developed by Gumotex. The outer layer of synthetic rubber provides abrasion and UV resistance. The middle layer is a polyester fabric that gives the structure strength and dimensional stability. The inner layer is made up of a natural rubber based compound. The material is phthalate-free, easily repairable and highly resistant to chemicals and mechanical stress. Its properties are especially appreciated by those who seek durability and reliability.
