Material and Durability: Lightweight Rib Stop with a PU coating

The jacket is based on the tried-and-true Rib Stop Nylon with a polyurethane (PU) coating.

• Ripstop finish: A special weaving technique (mesh) ensures that, even though the material is extremely light and flexible, it is very difficult to tear. If you do happen to brush against a sharp branch, the mesh will prevent the tear from spreading further.
• PU coating: It guarantees reliable waterproofing and protection against wind, so you'll stay warm even in chilly weather.

Cuffs and Neck: Neoprene comfort without constriction

Not every paddler can tolerate tight latex cuffs, which can constrict and restrict blood flow. That’s why the Hiko Switch V.3 relies on soft and flexible neoprene cuffs on the wrists and around the neck.
These cuffs feel very comfortable against bare skin, and it’s easy to put a jacket on over them. Although they aren’t 100% waterproof during long periods of underwater swimming, they provide an excellent seal during normal paddling and when splashed with water. The jacket was designed with the ergonomics of paddling in mind. The cut is primarily tailored to for sitting in a kayak or on a raft (using a spray deck), so it doesn't ride up or pull across your back when you take a shot.

Care and Maintenance of a Water Sports Jacket

To ensure your jacket lasts as long as possible, we recommend rinsing it with clean water after paddling in dirty water. Never wring out the jacket, and do not dry it in a dryer or on a hot radiator (this may damage the PU coating and neoprene). Hang it loosely on a hanger to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
