The Lake 4XL canoe was designed for paddlers who require maximum space and excellent handling on longer routes. With an impressive length of 520 cm and a width of 94 cm, it is a stable platform, but thanks to its length, it keeps the trail perfectly and easily reaches cruising speeds. It's the perfect boat for a crew of four planning to spend all day on the water, or for expedition couples requiring a huge capacity for camping gear. The XL moniker on this model is all about uncompromising spacious comfort.

LLDPE material: indestructibility and UV stability

The boat construction uses rotational moulding technology made of linear polyethylene (LLDPE). This material is optimal for expedition canoes due to its high toughness. The hull is cast as one monolithic piece, eliminating the risk of cracking at the seams. LLDPE excels in "shape memory" - when a strong impact hits an obstacle, the material flexes and then returns to its original state without disturbing the structure. The integrated UV protection ensures that the boat does not warp or lose colour saturation even when exposed to prolonged exposure to the heat of the sun at sea or on dams.

Traditional wooden seats with weave

The interior of Lake 4XL is equipped with four wooden seats with fabric belts. This solution combines classic boating aesthetics with modern comfort. The padding is breathable, it does not compress even when paddling for hours and the non-absorbent material ensures that the seats dry quickly after getting wet. The wooden frames of the seats are coated for high water and sun resistance, underlining the premium character of this model.

Hull design for lake paddling

The Lake 4XL canoe hull has a profile optimized for calm and gently flowing waters. The boat's depth of 47 cm is chosen to give the boat a lower centre of gravity and a smaller side area exposed to the wind (compared to river models), which makes it much easier to handle on open water. The long waterline ensures that the boat has minimal drag and very good directional stability - the backstay does not have to spend so much effort correcting the direction and the boat glides smoothly on the water.

With a total load capacity of325 kg and a length of over 5 metres, the Lake 4XL offers space that is unrivalled in its class. Even when occupied by four adults, there is still plenty of legroom and small equipment. For a crew of two, this canoe becomes an unrivalled expedition vessel, where several large barrels, tents and all the gear for a week's wilderness wandering can be easily loaded.

Weight 47 kg and handling

Weight47 kg corresponds to the robust construction and length of the ship. Due to the size, handling with two or more people is recommended. The boat is equipped with sturdy transport handles at the bow and stern to facilitate launching or carrying over obstacles. Thanks to its length and stability, the boat sits very firmly on the roof racks of cars, making the logistics of your expeditions easier.
