The Granate's shape is legendary in the paddling world. It was designed for speed, smoothness, and, above all, the ability to get the paddler out of trouble. Size L (Large) It is designed for paddlers weighing approximately 70 to 115 kg. It provides tremendous primary and secondary stability. Thanks to its massive displacement, the Granate will safely carry you back to the surface after tough drops and won’t let the water do whatever it wants to you in the waves.
Hull and Hydrodynamics: Forgiving Bottom and Automatic Boof
While many of today’s creek boats feature extremely flat bottoms and sharp edges, the Granate sticks to its tried-and-true rounded profile (semi-displacement hull). What does that mean in practice?
- Forgiving Mistakes: A more rounded transition between the bottom and the sides means that the boat won't unexpectedly "bite" at the interface between currents or when the trim is slightly off. Water flows smoothly around the boat.
- Speed and Slip: The Granate maintains its forward speed fantastically, easily breaks through waves, and glides smoothly over rocks in shallow sections.

Caring for a Polyethylene Shell

After paddling in very dirty or sandy water, simply rinse the cockpit and the backrest straps with clean water.

Expert advice: Don’t be fooled by the “Club” label. For the vast majority of paddlers who don’t use their kayaks for daily training on the slalom course, this is a huge advantage. No ratchets means sand won’t get inside them, and they won’t jam when you least need them to work. And what about the Granate’s rounded hull? If you’re just learning to paddle in rough water, the Granate is the best teacher. Where a flat-bottomed (planing hull) boat would immediately tip you over onto a sharp edge if your lean is off, the Granate simply glides through the current and lets you calmly recover from the situation.
