Caring for the Polyethylene Hull and Skeg

The kayak is made of premium high-density polyethylene. To maximize its lifespan, store it away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and UV rays. It is especially important to rinse the retractable skeg housing with clean fresh water after every trip in sandy or very dirty conditions to prevent the mechanism and spring from seizing up.
