NoName Seakayak: Classic touring spray skirt made of neoprene and nylon
NoName Sea Kayak: Comfort on Long Trips
The NoName Seakayak is specifically designed for leisurely recreational paddling, sea kayaking, and multi-day water tours. The combination of two different materials makes it a very popular choice for paddlers who don’t want to spend long hours strapped into a tight, hot full-neoprene hood. The deck keeps water out, while the hood provides freedom of movement.
4mm neoprene deck and nylon chimney
The combination of neoprene and fabric offers the ideal balance between waterproofing and comfort:
- 4mm neoprene deck: The sturdy and flexible neoprene section reliably covers the boat's cockpit. It ensures that no pools of water form on deck, and the cover safely withstands wave spray.
- Universal Nylon Chimney: The hood is made of lightweight, waterproof nylon fabric. This looser fit is much more breathable than neoprene and easily adapts to the rider's clothing and body shape.
- 9mm bungee cord: The elastic edge ensures that the spray deck stays securely and reliably in place on the collar, yet is easy to put on and take off—a feature you'll appreciate during training or frequent outings.
What is the ideal use for a spray deck?
This classic hiking poncho is the ideal solution for:
- Sea kayaking and coastal paddling: Protection for the cockpit against salt spray and wind, designed to ensure a high level of comfort during longer crossings.
- Water recreation (lakes and gentle rivers): A great solution for spending the whole day in a boat, where you don't need extreme watertightness for whitewater.
- Beginners and recreational riders: User-friendly operation, easy installation, and great versatility.

Expert Advice and Product Care: The combination of nylon and neoprene is very comfortable, but it requires careful maintenance to prevent damage to the seams where these two materials meet. After every paddle (especially in saltwater at sea), rinse the spray skirt thoroughly with clean fresh water. Never wash it in a washing machine or dry it in direct sunlight or on a radiator. Always let the spray skirt dry slowly while hanging freely in a shaded and well-ventilated area.
