NRS Tuff Sack 5L: A compact guardian of your valuables
Waterproofing and the eco-friendly TobaTex material
The new generation of the legendary NRS Tuff Sacks takes the protection of your gear to the next level. The bag is made of premium, durable material 18 oz TobaTex. This material is not only extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing, but it is also completely PVC-free, which significantly reduces its environmental impact. All seams are securely high-frequency welded, so there is absolutely no chance that even the smallest drop of water will penetrate them.
StormStrip™ Roll-Up Closure and Smart Details
The NRS Tuff Sack is very easy and safe to handle, even if your hands are wet:
- StormStrip™ Closure: A safe and time-tested roll-up closure system. Simply roll the top edge with the strip tightly at least three times and secure it with a sturdy plastic clip. The system guarantees 100% dustproofing and protection against water splashes and even brief submersion.
- Integrated D-ring: There is a sturdy loop (D-ring) right on the buckle. This allows you to easily and securely attach the 5-liter bag with a carabiner to your boat, a safety line on the deck of your SUP, or inside your backpack.
- Compact 5-liter capacity: This size is absolutely ideal for storing your most important personal items—it reliably holds a cell phone, wallet, car keys, a small camera, or a personal first-aid kit.
What is this bag ideal for?
The smallest member of the NRS Tuff Sack family, with a 5L capacity, is a versatile organizer that you can use practically anywhere:
- Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and Kayaking: Its compact size doesn't take up much space on deck and fits perfectly even in the smallest storage compartments on a sea kayak.
- Water tourism: Ideal as a "bag-within-a-bag" to completely separate electronics from any residual moisture in a large duffel bag.
- Camping and Hiking: A great addition to your backpack that will protect your documents and electronics from a sudden downpour.

Expert Advice – Organization and Scrolling: For smaller 5-liter bags, it’s crucial to squeeze out as much excess air as possible before rolling them up. The bag then takes up the absolute minimum of space and can be easily squeezed into even the tightest spots in a kayak. The transparent version (Clear) is absolutely ideal for valuables—you can immediately see whether your car keys and documents are packed inside without having to open the bag unnecessarily and waste time.
