Fuse Action: When Your Jacket Follows Your Every Move

When performing technical runs or freestyle tricks (such as cartwheels or loops), you need complete freedom of movement in your shoulders and torso. Standard, stiff jackets often restrict this movement. The Palm Fuse was designed with an “athletic fit” that eliminates excess fabric, thereby reducing friction and the risk of snagging. Thanks to the use of stretchy materials, the jacket feels like a second skin—it moves exactly with your body without making you feel restricted.

XP 4-Layer Stretch Fabric: Waterproofing Meets Flexibility

The unique features of the Fuse jacket stem from its material. It is the first model in the Palm Equipment lineup to use a premium two-way stretch fabric XP 4-layer:

• Water column of 25,000 mm: It guarantees absolute leak-tightness even under high hydrostatic pressure (e.g., in a cylinder).
• Breathability: 6,000 g/m²/24h: It effectively wicks away body moisture and sweat, so you don't overheat.
• Fabric containing spandex: The fabric, made of 94% nylon and 6% spandex, allows the jacket to stretch, which is a true rarity among 4-layer membranes.

Non-constricting seals: Latex on the wrist, neoprene on the neck

The Fuse model combines features of dry and semi-dry jackets for maximum comfort for active paddlers:

• Wrist: They are equipped with classic natural latex cuffs for 100% waterproofing. The latex is also protected by outer adjustable neoprene cuffs with Velcro fasteners.
• Krk: Here, Palm did away with the constricting latex and replaced it with a collar made of premium material UltraStretch neoprene (GlideSkin). This collar fits the neck perfectly, doesn't restrict blood flow, and prevents water from splashing in. Although a few drops may seep through during long swims, the comfort it provides during all-day paddling is invaluable to most paddlers.

Twin Waist: 100% integration with the spray deck

The bottom of the jacket is designed to integrate perfectly with your spray skirt. Tuck the inner nylon tube into your pants, slip the spray skirt’s tube over it, and cover the whole thing with the jacket’s outer neoprene belt. The outer strap is securely fastened with sturdy Velcro, and its inner side features a “sticky” non-slip layer (grippy inner lining). Thanks to this, the strap doesn’t ride up and stays exactly where it’s supposed to.

Environmental Impact: PFAS- and PVC-Free Production

The Palm Equipment brand prides itself on its eco-friendly approach. The Fuse jacket is made entirely without the use of harmful PFAS chemicals (so-called "forever chemicals") and contains no PVC. Care and Maintenance of a Water Sports Jacket

To ensure the long life of the membrane and neoprene seals, we recommend rinsing the jacket with clean fresh water after each use (and especially after paddling in dirty water). Never store the jacket while it is wet or crumpled. Dry it by hanging it loosely on a hanger in a well-ventilated room, ideally out of direct sunlight, which damages latex. It can be machine-washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle (without fabric softener or bleach). Do not tumble dry or iron!
