Palm Highside Rafter: Certified life jacket for commercial rafting
High displacement and robust construction
The Palm Highside Rafter is synonymous with reliability. With a buoyancy rating of 90–110 N (depending on size), it offers significant support when swimming in moving water, which is absolutely essential for rafting. The vest is built to withstand rough handling, frequent donning and drying, without losing its functional properties. The simple, time-tested design allows for lightning-fast donning, which is an invaluable advantage when processing rafting groups.
Maximum Safety: Self-leveling collar and durable materials
Rafting safety standards require specific equipment, which this model meets to the letter:
- Self-leveling collar: An innovative feature that automatically adjusts to help keep the rider's head above water.
- High mechanical strength: The use of high-quality 500D Cordura fabric ensures that the vest can withstand abrasion from rafts, rocks, and other mechanical stress.
- Clear identification: The vest is equipped with color-coded straps based on size, which greatly simplifies the work of instructors and rental staff when issuing equipment.
- Reflective elements: They ensure that rafters are highly visible in the riverbed under low-light conditions.
What is this vest ideal for?
The life jacket is certified to the ISO 12402-5/6 rafting standards and is suitable for:
- Commercial rafting: Ideal for rental companies and agencies thanks to its durability and ease of organization.
- Rafting Teams and Clubs: Long service life and high displacement for safe operation even in rough waters.
- Challenging Water Tourism: For paddlers who need a sturdy life jacket with high buoyancy.

Expert advice: Although the vest is designed to be very durable, to ensure the Cordura material lasts a long time, rinse it with fresh water after each use in the sun and let it dry in the shade. For rafting vests, it’s crucial to make sure all straps are tightened before getting into the boat. Make sure the 38mm side strap is tightened securely so that, in the event of an accidental fall into the water, the vest stays securely against your torso and does not ride up—for high-buoyancy rafting vests, proper tightening is the most important safety measure.
