The Slovenian brand Sandiline developed the Advanced Pants model as a direct response to the needs of paddlers looking for a lighter and more flexible alternative to the Extreme line or the older Semidry model. These pants offer the best possible balance between freedom of movement and protection against inclement weather, making them an exceptionally versatile piece of gear for a wide range of water sports.

Material and Construction: 3-layer fabric and Duratex

These pants combine lightness with exceptional durability in all the right places:

3-layer membrane: The main fabric offers excellent water resistance (20,000 mm) and high breathability (6,000 g/m²/24h). In addition, all seams are securely heat-sealed to prevent even the slightest leakage.
Duratex reinforcements: The seat and knee areas, which come into contact with the deck, rocks, or sand, are reinforced with thick, abrasion-resistant fabric inserts. This significantly extends the overall lifespan of the pants.

Comfort and Sealing: Unique Waistband and UltraSpan Cuffs

Innovative solutions for the waist and ankles push the boundaries of comfort:

Dual-pass system: The inner tunnel is made of lightweight, elastic, and highly breathable GT3 fabric, finished with an elastic band to prevent slipping. The outer layer, made of super-stretchy Ultraspan neoprene, is pulled over it and extends high up the body. This protects the hips from getting cold and ensures maximum waterproofing in this critical area.

Expert advice: To create a reliable, waterproof system, it is essential to properly connect the double waistband of your pants to your dry jacket. The inner hood of the jacket must come between the inner fabric tunnel of the pants (GT3) and the outer neoprene waistband of the pants (Ultraspan). Then pull the jacket’s outer hood completely over everything from the outside. This creates a perfect labyrinth that water has no chance of penetrating. Also, when putting on your boots, remember that the neoprene cuffs at the ankles must always be through Your high neoprene boots—don't put them on inside, so that water can run freely down your pants and out.
