Nordr XL3 is SeaBird's flagship tandem, designed for long expeditions and comfortable family trips. It features a large 760-litre capacity and a load capacity of up to 350kg, allowing you to comfortably carry a rider, child or pet in the central cockpit while still having enough gear for multi-day cruises. The surfski-inspired hull delivers excellent wave handling, stability and efficient speed. This makes the Nordr XL3 suitable even for challenging sea conditions.
Hull, stability and handling
The rounded hull with a subtle hint of chines in the middle combines speed with manoeuvrability. The surf-inspired volume distribution provides a dry ride even in rough seas and stability when surfing waves. Primary stability is ample for beginners, while secondary stability provides support in the rollers and when riding waves. With a length of 640 cm, the kayak holds its direction perfectly, while remaining agile for working in coastal passages or rock gardens. The standard Power Pedals PRO XI9 rudder enhances course guidance accuracy.
Comfort and safety
Nordr XL3 is equipped with ergonomic seats, adjustable thigh rests and large cockpits that provide plenty of space for longer paddling. The middle cockpit is ideal for a child, dog or extra luggage. Storage is provided by front and rear main watertight compartments complemented by day screw hatches. Thanks to the Diolen/Fiberglass/Core composite construction, the boat excels in strength while maintaining a relatively light weight. Added value is the compatibility with the VHF safety system.
