Caring for a Polyethylene Shell

The hull is made of highly durable rotomolded polyethylene (HDPE). Although this material has a long service life, we recommend storing the kayak away from direct UV light, which can cause the plastic to degrade and the color to fade over time. After paddling in sandy terrain, rinse the kayak with water to prevent unnecessary abrasion of the material inside the cockpit. Regularly check that the screws on the backrest and handrails are tight.
