Werner Guide Stick - Key Features
Werner Guide Stick STD the UNCUT version is a rugged one-piece paddle designed for professional guides and expedition whitewater riders. It offers extreme durability, high performance and the ability to adjust the length as needed. The UNCUT version comes without a fitted handle and allows for custom shortening of the blade from the original length72" (183 cm).
Sheet design and shot characteristics
The leaf has a symmetrical shape with an area of 890 cm² (138 in²) and a strong dihedral profile. It provides maximum force transfer even in heavy water, stable tensile guidance and minimum drag. Suitable for demanding descents, ferries, roll exits and rescue manoeuvres.

Dear Customer, Your kayak/canoe is on its way! Below, you will find a clear and concise guide for a smooth handover. Carefully following these steps is crucial to protect your investment.
Important Notice:
Perform the initial inspection of the packaging and kayak in the presence of the carrier who delivered the kayak. Cooperate with the carrier during the inspection to document any damage immediately.

STEP 1: INSPECTION BEFORE ACCEPTANCE AND SIGNATURE
Item: Package
In the presence of the carrier, perform a visual inspection of the kayak’s packaging for damage. What to check:
- Scratches and Gouges: Look for scratches or gouges on the packaging.
- Holes and Tears: Check if the film or cardboard is torn.
- Deformations: Notice any dents on the bow, stern, or sides.
- Visible Kayak Damage: Check if damage to the kayak is visible through the packaging.
Important: Even with the slightest damage to the packaging, you must note “ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATION” in the handover protocol!!!
This step is absolutely critical for any potential claims. Also, photograph the damage in the presence of the carrier.
You have the full right to a thorough inspection, even if the carrier is in a hurry.
STEP 2: DECISION BASED ON PACKAGE CONDITION
Scenario A: No Visible Damage
Sign for standard acceptance. Be cautious when handling the package.
After the carrier leaves:
- Carefully unpack the kayak in a safe location.
- Thoroughly inspect the entire kayak: surface scratches, cracks or fractures, hull deformations, condition of all components.
If you find hidden damage:
- Create photo documentation (kayak from all angles, detailed damage).
- Keep all packaging for claims.
- Contact us within 2–3 days of delivery.
Scenario B: Shows Damage
- Inform the carrier about the damage.
- Prepare a “Damage Report” with a precise description.
- Write in the protocol: “ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATION” (e.g., “scratches on packaging”).
