• An Allen wrench always within reach: A unique storage compartment right behind the seat, where you can store an Allen wrench in case you need to tighten screws while out on the water.
• Minimum number of screws and holes: The clean design reduces the risk of sand buildup and increases the overall service life and rigidity of the shell.
• Smart drain plug: If lost, it can be replaced immediately and inexpensively with any standard PET bottle cap.

Caring for a Polyethylene Shell

Although the ZET Cross is built to be durable, we recommend rinsing the kayak with clean water after paddling in sandy terrain—especially around the cockpit—to prevent wear and tear on the outfitting. Store the kayak in a shaded area away from constant direct UV exposure. Regularly check that the screws are tight; thanks to the smart storage compartment, you’ll always have easy access to them.
