The Axiom suit is built around the legendary 3-layer fabric GORE-TEX® Pro, which offers the best durability, water resistance, wind resistance, and breathability in its class. But NRS also cares about the future of our rivers:

• 100% recycled face material: The nylon outer fabric is made entirely from recycled materials, which drastically reduces its environmental impact.
• Dope-dyed technology: The base material is dyed using an innovative method (dope-dying) that drastically reduces water consumption, pollution, and energy consumption during the manufacturing process.
• Eco-friendly DWR treatment: The surface is treated with a water-repellent coating (DWR) that has a lower environmental impact.

Zippers and Seals: YKK Aquaseal™ and Smart Neoprene Overlap

The suit is designed to keep you as dry as possible and to be easy to put on:

• Front opening and zipper closure: The top-of-the-line, 100% waterproof YKK® Aquaseal™ front zipper, protected on the outside by a cover flap, ensures easy donning. A waterproof zipper for using the restroom is also a must-have for long days on the water.
• Latex and GlideSkin™: The neck and wrists are sealed with a tight-fitting latex cuff. This is covered on the outside with GlideSkin™ neoprene. For this model, NRS intentionally increased the area of neoprene from the wrist toward the palm to reduce direct contact between the water and the latex underneath (great for “big water” rivers).
• Drainage system: Sturdy yet flexible mesh panels integrated beneath the wrists and neck ensure that any water that might become trapped between the latex and the neoprene drains out immediately.

Kayaking Features: Double Waistband and Ankle Protection

Axiom is a wetsuit designed specifically for the needs of seated paddlers:

• 13 cm wide double waistband: The perfect solution for connecting to a spray deck. It fastens with a double Velcro closure, creating a completely watertight seal.
• Integrated socks and ankle supports: Your feet are pampered by an integrated fabric liner made from the same GORE-TEX Pro material. On the outside, it’s secured by an elastic strap that fits snugly against your boots, while silicone dots on the inside prevent the pant leg from riding up.
• Cordura® Reinforcements: The inner sides of the ankles, which are prone to rubbing against each other while walking and paddling, are reinforced with an extremely durable Cordura® panel.
• Handy pocket: The chest pocket with a splash-proof zipper provides space for storing small essentials (note: it is not designed to keep electronics dry).
