Product detailed description
BEGINNING OF THE MAIN DESCRIPTIONTNP Wolferine Carbon 726C.2YP: Adjustable paddle with a carbon shaft
NAVIGATION / CONTENTWolferine Carbon Vario YP: Perfect Versatility and Stiffness
The Czech brand TNP Laminex is launching the ultimate carbon version of its legendary Wolferine model. The 726C.2YP model is designed for demanding sea kayakers and paddlers who refuse to compromise on power transfer or the setup of their equipment. By adding long carbon fibers directly into the blade’s structure and combining it with a full-carbon shaft, the paddle is extremely stiff and very lightweight. Thanks to the advanced Vario YP joint, you can also react instantly to changes in boat width or weather conditions right on the water—all with maximum reliability.
Vario YP clutch, PAC plates, and carbon shaft
This paddle is designed using the most advanced composite materials and smart technologies for maximum efficiency:
- Vario YP Clutch: A revolutionary mechanism allows for a smooth 10-cm extension of the paddle's length and adjustment of the blade angle to any desired position (UNI). The adjustment is quick, intuitive, and does not require disassembling the paddle.
- Sheets made of PAC material: The blades are made of polyamide reinforced with a high percentage of long carbon fibers. This material gives the blades exceptional stiffness similar to that of pure carbon, while maintaining greater impact resistance.
- Carbon fiber pole: The two-piece tube made of high-quality carbon (Ø 30 mm) offers an unmatched combination of extreme strength and light weight. Plus, the surface provides excellent grip and won't slip in your hands.
- Built-in drainer: A special protrusion at the inner end of the blade completely replaces traditional rubber rings—water naturally drips back onto the water's surface and doesn't run down the pole into your sleeves.
What is this paddle best suited for?
Thanks to its unique adjustability, stiffness, and all-carbon feel, the TNP Wolferine Carbon 726C.2YP is the clear choice for:
- Changing Conditions and Sea Kayaking: You'll appreciate the ability to adjust the blade length and angle right out at sea when there are sudden changes in wind or waves.
- Performance Touring: A stiffer carbon shaft and reinforced blades minimize energy loss during dynamic strokes on large lakes and wide rivers.
- Changing between different ships and traveling: Thanks to the 10-centimeter extension, a single paddle can be used with both a narrow Greenland kayak and a wider canoe. Plus, the two-piece design packs easily into the trunk of a car.

Expert advice: You’ll really appreciate the ability to adjust the angle and length out at sea. If a strong headwind picks up, you can smoothly reduce the angle of rotation so that the upper blade offers less resistance to the wind. The carbon shaft also offers the advantage of excellent grip—the paddle won’t slip even in wet hands and won’t tire your arms. The Vario YP mechanism is highly reliable, but as with any two-piece joint, the golden rule applies: after paddling in saltwater, disconnect the joint and rinse it thoroughly with fresh water. This will prevent crystallizing salt from building up, which could eventually jam the lock.
